Hi, i like the way emotions like solitude and inner struggle are expressed by the use of dull colours of the sky, in particular the gloomy atmosphere of the clouds and the expression (the right eye is very emotional and i like it) of the main subject, i can feel his melancholy. The way he flies i quite fluid especially the right wing which is eye-candy but i think the left wing is a bit threw off maybe because of blending of colours on the wing itself. Despite this i like how the two wings are well proportioned and the entire body as well so this conpensate the aforementioned thing. I think the real weak point of this artwork is the burst of light in the upper part of the sky. The problem is not so much the colours which i really like because they bring out the dramatic nature of the composition but rather the way colours are blend together (in some parts the pink overlaps red and in other red overlaps pink) and the lines between the clouds and sky, they are too clear, i suggest you next time to use a more delicate brush with a low hardness, this would add a more delicate tone to the atmosphere and would create a balanced effect between the ambience and subject. Over all you did a really good job with the subject, the background (i love the fog over the sea), the emotion and ambience. I look forward to your improvement with technique because you have a great potential!
